the importance of cleansing

Ok let me get right to the point!

Everyone know at least one person or has a friend/family member that has acne.
We also see all the commercials on how to treat acne with pro-active and such facial creams, medication. What allot of people don't seem to realize is toxic build up in the body can lead to many health issues  including unsightly acne. To permanently cure acne, you need to understand the root cause of the skin condition. Acne, often times, can be an indication of harmful toxin build up in our body's. Every day we are exposed to hundreds of toxins- from the food we eat, to the air we breathe, the water we drink, the items we touch, and our body is struggling to maintain good health.  And since the skin is the largest organ we have, the toxins are released through the skin, which ultimately can result in acne for many people.  Based on research findings, toxin build up can lead to other serious health issues as well. some of the health issues linked to toxin build up includes inflammatory skin problems, accelerated aging, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances and significant weight gain overtime.
And effective way to get rid of those toxins is to cleanse your body. Many detox programs currently available target the colon only. Isagenix is unique in that it targets all the organs including the liver, kidney's, entire digestive track, and even the lypmpatic system and blood. Isagenix is gentle, safe and effective!

Isagenix Nutritional program works by removing your body's toxin buildups.  Eating processed food with additives, preservatives and other things that are not natural are one of the major causes of toxin build-ups. By using the isagenix cleansing program to eliminate the waste and toxins out of your body, you get the following health benefits:

1. curing and elimination of acne and other skin problems
2. a noticeable improvement of skin tone and elasticity
3. the reduced signs of aging
4. a reduction in cravings of sugar and carbohydrates
5. healthy weight loss
6. you feel more energetic

Isagenix Cleanse for life helps to give your body the nutrition it needs to cleanse itself naturally, and unlike other "cleanses," laxatives or diuretics that can deplete your body, cleanse for life  nourishes and feeds your whole body with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and botanicals.

Well the weekend is over, I had both Saturday and Sunday off, which for anyone who is in the retail industry knows is almost impossible to get.  My ex-sister in law and her husband were here... and yes I said EX. Just because you divorce one person doesn't mean you don't ever have to talk to the rest of the family again.

Anyway we had a blast. They won a trip through they company they worked for and were staying at Planet Hollywood casino. They  had been to Vegas allot of times but had never ever been off the strip, I tell you Vegas tourists miss the best part of Nevada when they stay on the strip.

Took them to Red rock for a day of hiking on Saturday. They had a blast, posted all the pics on face book. While they were doing that and I was playing tour guide I realized that I really need to do this more often. I live here, about 10 minutes away and don't really bother to go to red rock park unless family is in town.

It is sooo beautiful up there and what good exercise, hiking,  climbing, bouldering, it works on all the parts of your body. And it is so much better of a workout then in the gym, because it doesn't feel like a workout. But boy was I sore the next day. :o).    We had great plans for the afternoon and evening after 4 hours at the park. We ended up taking a nap till 530pm and then went to dinner at 7.  No walking the strip and staying out all night we just wanted to get back to bed lol.

On Sunday (after sleeping in) we went to Lake Mead, another Las Vegas treasure no tourist is really aware of.

Now they have made the trip to Hoover dam before but it was sooo much better seeing the dam from the water (by the way it was 96 degree's yesterday). Me and my boyfriend do this every week in the summer, forgetting how special and what an unique experience it can be to go jet skiing and cruise around the lake, may it be in a boat, kayaking, or on a Seadoo. I had so much fun this weekend showing them the "other side" of Vegas and that we locals know where the best parts of this town are and yes there is life off the strip lol!  My family is from Montana, and it was barely 60 degrees over there makes me happy to live here and appreciate the weather.  It also made be re-discover the fun I have in going hiking at Red rock, which I plan to continue since I live so close.  And nothing is better then conditioning your body while your forgetting that you are actually working out.

How much sugar do you drink a day???

Everyone knows that soda is packed with sugar. We stacked up the sugar in some average sized bottles, plus 7-Eleven's super-sized line of Gulp beverages.

Coca Cola
 12 oz (355 ml) Can
 Sugars, total: 39g
 Calories, total: 140
 Calories from sugar: 140*
 20 oz (590 ml) Bottle
 Sugars, total: 65g

 1 Liter (34 oz) Bottle
 Sugars, total: 108g
 Calories, total: 400
 Calories from sugar: 400
* You'll notice that if you do the math on
many of these, the total caloric value
is lower than the calories that should be
in the sugar alone, if sugar has 4 calories
per gram. We don't know if they used
"low calorie" sugar; we just used the data
on the nutrition label, and assumed that
sugar accounted for 100% of the calories.
This was common for beverages but not
other products.
Most people add at least some ice to their fountain drinks. We figured in enough ice to account for 15% of the cup's volume. Restaurants probably put in a lot more.

The sugar just keeps stacking up.

Americans are killing themselves with sugar

NaturalNews) Sugar and high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) are not just in soft drinks, pastries, and candies. They are hidden in most processed foods, condiments and sauces. Sometimes the sweetening ingredients in those foods and condiments are disguised as dextrose or corn syrup (which is most likely genetically modified) instead of sugar or HFCS.

So sugar is ubiquitous in the standard American diet (SAD). The food like substances from convenience stores, fast food stops, and even upscale restaurants are usually loaded with either sugar or HFCS.

High fructose corn syrup has become the sweetener of choice because it's cheaper and sweeter than sugar. Many say it's worse for you as well. Much of HFCS goes directly to the liver before it is metabolized anywhere else. What isn't used for energy from HFCS is stored as fat. Excess sugar also gets stored as fat.

Even some infant formulas contain sugar or HFCS amounts equivalent to a can of soda. They're getting hooked on sugar early. Sugar and HFCS tend to be addictive.

Since sugar became a household commodity in the 18th Century, sugar consumption has increased from four pounds per person annually to 180 pounds annually for half the American population. HFCS use has increased over ten thousand percent since its introduction into processed foods and beverages in the 1970s.

Health issues with sugar and HFCS

Obesity is obvious. Obesity levels are higher now than ever before. One-third of Americans are obese and another third are overweight. Eating a low fat diet only hurts your health. Our bodies need natural, good fats.

Obesity and overweight conditions usually lead to pre-diabetes and diabetes type 2, which can also cause kidney disease. If dietary habits remain the same, high blood pressure and artherosclerosis (clogged and hardened arteries) can occur, leading to heart attacks and strokes.

Coinciding with increased HFCS use is a sharp rise in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which is a precursor to sclerosis of the liver.

Many tend to make a couple of bad mistakes upon realizing they need to cut down or completely eliminate sugar and high fructose corn syrup from their diet. The first is to use artificial sweeteners such as aspartame and Splenda (sucralose). That's just trading physical problems for neurological issues, while still getting fatter in the meantime.

However, you can use naturally plant based Stevia as a healthy sugar replacement.

Another mistake is to cut out obvious sweets and sodas while continuing to frequent fast food places and eat processed food meals at home. The gradual transition from the standard American diet should be toward cutting out processed and fast food meals completely, since most are laced with sugar or HFCS.

Studies are beginning to determine that consuming lots of sugar or HFCS leads to cancer. Anaerobic cancer cells do thrive on sugar. They depend on fermenting glucose (sugar) for their energy because they've lost the ability to metabolize with oxygen

That's why alternative cancer treatments strictly forbid sugar consumption. Of course, mainstream oncology does not even discourage sugar. It's widely understood that we all contain some free floating cancer cells that have not developed into tumors.

Natural fructose in fruit is okay. But high added sugar/HFCS consumption will only encourage cancer cells and cause the other health issues mentioned in this article.

Hi, its another week so I'll talk about another isagenix product that is also part of the 5 pillars of health.
Its product B.  Its is a product I stand 100% behind because it helped me support my underactive thyriod to the point where I now no longer need to take medication (over the counter drugs).

Since it is a very lengthy process to explain what Product b does I have added a couple of videos that explain what Product b does, and how it affects our health.

So Easter is over with, I did go see the flower display at the Palazo here in Vegas and was a bit disappointed. I was expecting better but evenzo It is always fun to walk around and people watch down on the strip. Afterwards we went to the "Peppermill" for a very unhealthy but ooooh sooo good breakfast. I eat more chocolate then I should have but am going on another 2 day cleanse tomorrow to stick to my original plan on being bikini ready at the end of the month.

And while I was truly enjoying my french toast I was trying to explain to my boyfriend that he also needed to cleanse/ alkalize his body by doing a cleanse... he just kinda looked at me funny and asked me what that was, which made me wonder how many times I have used that term and not explained why or what that is.

So here go's: Wikipedia says: alkalinity or At measures the ablility of a solution to neutralize acids to the equivalence point of carbonate or bicarbonate.
This is the scientific basic explanation. As you know, our bodies mirror the universe, so the human body in his constant work has to neutralize acids as well. Usually, the human body is slightly alkaline with a pH 7.36-7.44.

All foods are "burned" in the body--more commonly called "digested"-- leaving an ash as the result of the "burning", or the digestion. This food ash can be neutral, acid or alkaline, depending largely on the mineral composition of the foods.

When the body is acidic, essential nutrients tend to be depleted faster including potassium, magnesium, sodium and calcium. Harmful bacteria also breed faster in an acidic environment, producing infections and sickness, but cannot survive in an alkaline body. Some chronic conditions such as fatigue, anxiety, dry skin, back pain, depression, arthritis, gastritis, ulcers, cellular degeneration and osteoporosis are also linked with acidic diets.

What is an Acidic diet?
Lets take one of my typical Saturday's hanging out with my boyfriend going to the track or desert for a motorcycle ride.. we get up have either a big bowl of Acid cereal, or go out  to Timbers for a another Acid scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, with acid juice breakfast. wash is down with Acid coffee and probably a Acid donut at the gas station before we head out of town. At lunch we usually have homemade sandwiches and water. However I will snack on Acid chips, cookies and such....

When we get home we bbq and usually have some fruit( finally some alkaline) but by now my body is trying to digest about 90% Acid product.  Which means I am tired, worn out, feel full, sluggish. You get the point. So think about what you eat for a few days, in terms of acid foods and how you feel afterwards.

Some chronic conditions such as fatigue, anxiety, dry skin, back pain, depression, arthritis, gastritis, ulcers, cellular degeneration and osteoporosis are also linked with acidic diets.

Now on the upside of this, is that Alkaline food is mostly fresh raw food, so I usually try to eat as much fruit as I can  during the day, and as I already explained I cleanse to bring my body back into and "Alkaline" state. And to get even faster results, you can cleanse either a 2 day or 9 day with isagenix. and contact me if you have any questions on how to do this or for ordering just go to my website www.dianakautzman.isagenix.com.

Here is a list of some Alkaline foods:
cucumber, wheat grass, barley grass, broccoli sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, parsley, kale, sea vegetables, avocado, bell peppers, beets, broccoli, cabbage, celery, endive, collard, ginger, green beans, garlic, mustard greens, lettuce, onion, okra, tomato, spinach. Some nuts, seeds (sesame seeds) and oils are also good sources of alkalinity, particularly pumpkin seeds, almonds, further cold pressed oils like cod liver oil, evening primrose oil, coconut oil, flaxseed oil, fish oil.

Not sure if cleansing is for you,  read this!

Listen to any TV commercial for a new drug and you'll hear a litany of bizarre side effects—amnesia, hallucinations, nightmares, blue urine, and a furry-feeling tongue, just to name a few. But few of these lists include obesity, and overdosing on antibiotics, according to an article published in the magazine New Scientist, could be a major trigger for obesity.

People who overuse antibiotics have lower levels of good bacteria in their guts, and those good bacteria have been found to help prevent everything from cancer to obesity. A number of studies on mice have found that mice fed antibiotics at levels comparable to those given to farm animals are much heavier than mice fed no antibiotics at all—which isn't surprising, considering that antibiotics are often used to speed growth and fatten up animals for slaughter.

But what is concerning are the studies of antibiotics fed to mice at levels similar to what children receive when they get infections. In one study, microbiologist Martin Blaser, of New York University, fed mice short courses of antibiotics similar to those that children receive. Compared to the non-drugged mice, the antibiotic-fed mice had lower levels of T-cells, which regulate the body's immune response. Obesity has been associated with low levels of these T-cells.

In a separate observational study, published in the April 2011 issue of the International Journal of Obesity, researchers from Denmark followed the development of 28,000 babies, and for seven years, monitored the children's weight and development. Babies who were given antibiotics within six months of birth were more likely to be overweight by age 7 than children who hadn't received such early doses of the drugs, regardless of how trim or obese their mothers were.

All these studies are too preliminary, the authors write, to suggest that use of the antibiotics be stopped altogether, but they do advise that the drugs be used more prudently. Often, people go to the doctor expecting to receive antibiotics to treat a condition, even if antibiotics won't do anything to treat that problem, such as asking for antibiotics to treat sinus infections, which are often caused by a virus, not bacteria.

Summer is almost here, cleansing anyone????

Well its a new week, and that means I will be talking about a different product from Isagenix...(one of the 5 pillars of health) and since I have just completed a 2 day cleanse and am now (sort of following the 9 day cleanse program) I figured it would be nice to find out why a cleanse is so good for you and why it really helps jump start your weight loss, plus keep it off, versus a regular diet where allot of people end up gaining their weight back as soon as they stop dieting.

This is how most diets go for the average American -- let's call him Joe...

Plan A: cut calories and increase activity. Ok, that sounds simple enough. After about a week or two, Joe will decide the one or two pound weight loss per week is not worth the hunger pangs, sweets cravings and grueling excursions at the gym.

Plan B follows, shortly after Joe person gets an invitation to his high school reunion and his ex-girlfriend's wedding reception. Plan B consist of salad, veggies, and more salad until he starts dreaming of cheeseburgers in the middle of his work day. Plan B usually lasts less than 24 hours -- followed by a guilt ridden, but jittery wait in the nearest fast food drive through.

Plan F: this is when Joe finally decides, "This is just how my body is supposed to look, and I'm tired of feeling guilty each time I eat a Twinkie. I'm never going to look like Brad Pitt!"
The problem with diets, and where they fall far short of nutritional cleansing, is in the following three areas: rapid weight loss, reduced/eliminated unhealthy cravings, and long term results.

Lets go over each of these in detail...

How does cleansing help you loose weight rapidly?

Believe it or not, cleansing is not actually designed to help you lose weight, but to assist the body in its overwhelming task of flushing impurities from your system. Your body actually produces fat to encapsulate impurities (toxic air, water and foods) that enter your body. Nutritional cleansing leeches those toxins from your cells and then, as a side benefit (and a very nice one, I will say) your body will let all that extra fat melt away quickly. When done correctly, you can expect to lose 5-10 pounds in your first 10 days of a good cleanse.

How does cleansing reduce cravings?

A healthy body craves healthy foods -- that is all there is to it. When you flush impurities from your system and flood your cells with intense nutrition, you won't crave junk food. Most junk food cravings are a sign that you desperately need a certain mineral in your diet. For example, when you are craving salty foods, like potato chips, you are most likely low on sodium or chlorine. A good nutritional cleanse will flood your cells with every vitamin and mineral it needs -- resulting in less or no cravings for junk.

How does cleansing help me lose weight long term?

When impurities enter your system, your body produces fat to coat these toxins. When you diet, you lose body mass, but you still have the same amount of impurities in your system. The effect -- your body senses increased levels of toxicity and goes into emergency fat production -- this is more commonly known as the REBOUND! This is why most diets help you lose weight, but almost inevitably, you gain the weight back, and then some.

When you choose to lose weight using a nutritional cleansing, your body sheds impurities which stimulates your body to release fat. There is no rebound with cleansing since the impurities are flushed from your system and your body doesn't need to produce excess fat.

Here are the facts: cleansing will improve your health and reduce your waistline more quickly than a traditional diet. Weight loss can be a frustrating experience, so take the guess-work and "hoping for results" out of it and start a nutritional cleanse today. You are guaranteed more health and less flab. Good luck with the natural weight loss!

Can’t Make the Scale Budge? 11 Questions to Ask Yourself

by Ina Nozek, DC, MS, CCN
Losing stubborn weight is easier with these 11 tips.

Amazing transformational changes to our health and our body composition are seen with the Isagenix nutritional cleansing and fat burning systems, but every now and then we get “stuck.” Sometimes the weight seems to be coming off too slowly, or compared to other people’s results it doesn’t feel “up to par.”What I’d like to do is give some tips on how to optimize weight/fat loss results so that you can reach both your health and your weight loss goals. Before you get discouraged, here are a few questions you can ask yourself:

1. Are you drinking enough water? The products do an amazing job at helping your body cleanse away toxins, but it’s your job to flush those impurities out with adequate hydration from pure, plain water. It is extremely important to consume at least eight to 10 full glasses of water each day, as is standard advice. On hot days or if performing physical activity, drink a few ounces more along with the sports drink Want More Energy?® that replenishes lost glycogen, vitamins and electrolytes.

2. Are you moving your bowels well each and every day? Constipation could hinder weight loss results. Rather than carrying around pounds that build up in the colon, regular and complete bowel movements are important in managing your ‘true’ body weight. If necessary, increasing the amount of IsaFlush! (containing magnesium) and fiber that you are taking each day will support regularity. FiberPro and FiberSnacks! can be used to get your required amount of daily fiber, which will certainly support gastrointestinal health.

3. Are you taking in enough or perhaps too many calories? Take a look at the meals and snacks that you consume on your Shake Days. Make sure to follow the program with 400- to 600-calorie meals consisting of whole, natural foods.

4. Are you letting too much time go by between your shakes and your meal and/or snacks? Timing is everything! Your shake or meal should hold your appetite for three to four hours. If there is more time than that between meals, you need to choose a healthy, balanced snack to curb hunger. This will keep your blood sugar stable and prevent your body from slowing your metabolism to conserve energy.

5. What are your food choices? Many of us may be absent-mindedly hindering results by reach for excess sugars and/or starches. Snacking on high-glycemic, low-fiber foods, or having a handful of this or that throughout the day can be enough to slow things down. Be aware of what you are choosing to eat.

6. Are you sleep deprived and/or stressed out? Either of these issues can cause your stress hormones to be out of balance and lead to increased fat storage—especially around the belly. If you are under a lot of stress and/or not sleeping restfully at night, I suggest you double up on your Ionix Supreme. Meditation and light physical activity may also be helpful in restoring your natural rhythms.

7. How often are you cleansing? For some of you, you may be cleansing too often and for others, you may not be cleansing enough. Keep your body guessing! Two consecutive Cleanse Days is the deepest advisable cleanse and the most effective way to burn fat. However, some people may do this too often. In which case, I recommend that you switch things up. Perhaps do double Cleanse Days every other week. Or, you can try one Cleanse Day one week and then a two Cleanse Days the next week. Maybe switch to drinking 1 or2 ounces daily (“daily cleansing”) for a while instead. Two to four ounces of Cleanse for Life before bed on an empty stomach may be helpful for many people, too. Remember to hydrate well throughout the day whether you are “deep” or “daily cleansing.” The key to all of this is to keep your body guessing by making sure to switch things up!

8. Are your foods settling? Food allergies and sensitivities may be playing a role in slowing weight loss results. Be aware of what foods you are eating and whether or not they are “jiving” with your body. Avoid any obvious foods sensitivities or intolerances.

9. Are you maximizing your meals? If not, consider Vanilla IsaPro! Adding 1 scoop of IsaPro to 1 or 1 ½ scoops of IsaLean shake can be helpful for optimizing your metabolism. The boost to protein can make a huge difference to anyone with a sluggish metabolism. Extra protein also keeps your appetite satisfied longer and promotes maintenance of muscle, a key element for plateau busting!

10. How many steps do you take every day? Get out there and move! Exercise is so important for our general health and it makes a huge difference in transforming our body composition. Daily exercise increases metabolism naturally as we build muscle. Incorporate strength and resistance training as well as cardio exercise for optimal fat burning results.

11. Are you following the plan? Are you committed to getting the best results? Are your food choices optimal? Are you adding too many extra calories to your shakes and to your snacking? Be honest with yourself. If we are honest with ourselves, sometimes we realize that we could be more committed and disciplined. For some of us, it’s this discipline that makes all of the difference in achieving our goals. Then maintenance becomes a lot easier. Stay strong in order to truly transform your body so that you can look and feel your absolute best!
